Industrial Revolution
The industrial revolution began in Great Britain, the industrial revolution was a greatly increasing output of machine made goods. It started in Great Britain because Britain had all the factors of production. it had natural resources like coal, iron ore, water, land, oil. people started moving out of the rural area or country side into the urban areas otherwise known as the cities so they could work in factories. Factories are places were the machine made goods were made and the main places that shipped out goods. Making machine made goods instead of by hand is known as industrialization. Textiles was the first industry to revolutionize machine made goods. Textiles include clothes, carpets, curtains, and fabrics.
Nationalism is showing major love and appreciation to your country. if you are nationalist you would do anything for your country. nationalism played a role in the industrial revolution because nations were getting stronger and people wanted to be part of the strongest nation and they would fight and honor the nation they were part of. capitalism is an economic system in which trade, industry and the means of production are controlled by private owners with the goal of making profits in a market economy. Socialism is an economic system characterized by social ownership of the means of production and co-operative management of the economy.
Anarchism is a political philosophy that advocates stateless societies often defined as self-governed voluntary institutions. Communism is a socialists movement to create a classless, moneyless, and stateless social order constructed upon common ownership of the means of production, as well as a social, political and economic ideology that aims at the establishment of this social order.
Adam Smith One of the first and most persuasive advocates of modern capitalism, a Scotsman, Smith became (and still remains) the prophet of the new economic order. smith is called the father of modern economics, and is still among the most influential thinkers in the field of economics today. He wrote two books The Wealth of Nations and The Theory of Moral Sentiments.
Karl Marx as one of the most original and influential thinkers of modern times, Karl Marx produced much of the theory of modern socialism and communism. Marx lived in a period of unrestrained capitalism when exploitation and misery were the lot of the industrial working classes, and it was his humanitarianism and concern for social justice that inspired his work. Marx's vision of communism and socialism were good but they turned out to be bad ideas.
